Apple Crumble


5-7 organic apples


1 cup almond meal
1/2 cup coconut flakes
2 teaspoons sesame seeds or chia seeds
1/4 cup pepitas
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup pistachios, chopped
1/4 cup hazelnuts, chopped
pinch salt
1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
2 tablespoons raw honey or your preferred sweetener



For this recipe I chose organic Fuji apples. Any variety will be fine to use just keep in mind the sweetness of the apple, Fuji’s are very sweet so I only added a couple of tablespoons of honey.

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Peel apples if you wish and slice directly into a flan/pie dish.

Place all crumble ingredients in a bowl and combine well. Spoon crumble mixture evenly over the apple. Cover with al-foil and bake in oven for 40 mins.

Remove from oven and allow to cool enough to serve.

Apple crumble is best served warm or room temperature with fresh berries or fruit of choice and a dollop of coconut cream or yogurt!! Yuuummm!
